As of April 1st, 2020, Robin started a new assignment for PortShuttle Rotterdam B.V. as Project Director Container Exchange Route (CER). PortShuttle is a 100% subsidiary of Port of Rotterdam Authority and has been organizing the exchange of containers by rail between all deepsea container terminals on the Maasvlakte, CTT-R and the Rail Service Center in Rotterdam since 2015 on behalf of the Port. The Port of Rotterdam Authority intends to commission PortShuttle Rotterdam B.V. for the implementation of the operator service for the transport on the Container Exchange Route (CER). The actual transport itself will be published in a separate tender. portshuttle-rotterdam.com Jan 2020:
After the takeover of SCA Logistics BV by Matrans Holding at the end of 2019, new Terminal Operating Systems and Truck Gates are required to be implemented as part of the integration of this terminal within the Matrans Group. As off Jan 2020 I've started as ICT projectmanager to implement the above. Dec 2019:
I will leave the Port of Rotterdam Authority as off April 1st, 2020 and therefor also the CER project. It has been concluded that it is no longer possible to extend our cooperation, which both the Port and myself, regret. Quote from the Port of Rotterdam: -- For more than 4 years Robin has been involved in the CER project and can - as the person ultimately responsible for ICT and CER Automation - be seen as the architect behind the design, construction and implementation of the CER concept. As of January 1st we will start gradually taking over the activities of Robin within the CER project team -- #availablesoon, #madeithappen Published article in Port of Rotterdam News, May 2019.
